Bald Hill P-40s Crash Site Location Found

Yesterday I finally (after searching off and on since 2005) found and confirmed the crash site of the two P-40's that crashed on Baldy on 11/2/41. A while back I posted photos of what I believed at the time was the crash site, but as time went on and new info came out I realized I was wrong about the location

In the past few months several breaks happened including finding online a 1946 aerial photo showing "craters" on Baldy and talking to witnesses. These were the breaks I needed to find and confirm the site! The site is very overgrown now with brush and a fair amount of poison oak, the two crater seem to be visible-when you look carefully in the brush. The first part I located had a even had a part number on it 87 21 275 R, the first 7 was VERY faint and could be also a 1, but either way it's a P-40 part number. Here's a link to some of my photos: http://picasaweb.google.com/TamRanger/BaldHillP40CS#
